Bonjour
Today we are going to continue studying the ordinal numbers. In the previous lesson we have learnt the ordinal numbers in French from one to 10.
Ordinal numbers in French are formed using the cardinal numbers, just like in English.
To make an ordinal number in French, just drop the last -e and add -ième to the end. If the cardinal number doesn't end with and -e, just add -ième.
The only exceptions are premier (first), cinquième (fifth) and neuvième (ninth):

DEUX- DEUXIÈME
(TWO-SECOND)
HUIT- HUITIÈME
(EIGHT- EIGHTH)
ONZE- ONZIÈME
(ELEVEN- ELEVENTH)
We can also write the ordinal numbers in French using an abbreviated form as we do in English. Just add a small -er in the masculine form of the number and a small -re when abbreviated in the female form. For the rest, just add an e:
1er (first)
2e (second)
3e (third)
Au revoir
