Today we are going to continue studying French
nouns.
Previously we have studied male and female nouns in
French in their singular form. Today we
are going to study the plural forms of the nouns.
In French, plural forms generally end with an –s just
like in English:
LA
FEMME- LES FEMMES
(THE
WOMAN- THE WOMEN)
LA
VOITURE- LES VOITURES
(THE
CAR- THE CARS)
However, there are some
exceptions. Some French nouns don’t end
with an s on their plural forms and you have to make the plural according to
the last letter of their singular form:
